Gurgling Noises

Noises shouldn’t be coming from your drain. A gurgling noise may indicate air or gas bubbles are trapped in your drain line due to a clog that is holding them back from reaching the vent stack. If this continues it can be a sign there is a clog in the sewer line.

Frequently Clogged Drains

If you are often experiencing a clogged drain, this is a sign that something might be wrong. It is time to consider what you are flushing down your toilet. Anything other than waste and toilet paper is not healthy for your plumbing. Flushing “flushable” wipes is a culprit. Also consider what you are putting down your kitchen sink drain. Disposing of grease down your kitchen drain is also known to wreak havoc.

Bad Odor

There is a bunch of odors you are washing down your drain from hair, dead skin, sweat, and waste which can produce a bad odor. A rotten egg odor can be an indication that sewer gases are escaping from the P-trap. No one wants to live with a bad odor.  This is a sign to call Premier Plumbing for some help.

Slow Drains

Slow drains can be a sign of partial clogs. It is important to take a look at these before they become a bigger problem and develop into a blockage. Try pouring baking soda down the drain, followed by a cup of vinegar which creates a fizzy reaction that can help dissolve any minor clogs. You can also try flushing the drain by pouring a pot of hot water and salt, which will help break up the grease.

Clogged Drains

If you have a clogged sewer line it is possible you have multiple clogged drains. Clogs in the main line are the most troublesome because they affect sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and showers.  When you have a clog in the main line there is two main causes, a tree root or broken sewer pipe.
